Jennifer Carsillo
Producer

Enjoying a varied career in the music and film worlds, Jennifer Carsillo is both a concert violinist and an award-winning actress and filmmaker. As a violinist, Carsillo has performed across the country in venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center, in musical capitals such as New York, London, and Cremona, and in countries as varied as Russia, France, and Jamaica. A unique experience onstage with an opera company as the title role in Fiddler On the Roof led Carsillo to further explore theatre, which led to screenwriting, film roles and filmmaking. Her first film, GLORIA (2018), was a Top 20 Official Selection at Louisiana Film Prize and also won a Founder’s Award. Since then, Carsillo has acted in over twenty other independent films, for which several she has also held behind-the-camera roles, from producer to writer to set designer and most everything between. To her delight, the majority of these films have been garnering awards and nominations at film festivals throughout the U.S. and Europe. Carsillo composed, adapted and performed the film score for two films, AMBER THE ACROBAT (2021) and GREEN’S ALLEY (Academy Award Certified in 2021), and is currently collaborating with her partners at JBD MusicWorks on the score for BAD DAY AT BOT-MART (2022). Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Carsillo received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Violin Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, respectively.
